People In Glass Houses
Last week, Ron Carey wouldn’t answer a blogger’s question (me!!!). This week, he won’t answer the Star Tribune’s questions. That’s why MN GOP Chair Ron Carey (“republiCon Ron”) is this week’s nominee for the Hypocrite Of The Month Award !
And what didn’t republiCon Ron want to talk about? Well, his “stewardship” of the State GOP Party’s finances! Remember how republiCon Ron ranted and raved about Franken’s financial paperwork? Let’s look at what the Star Tribune found, about his!!!
But, first – remember last week, when Carey was holding a Press Conference, and demanding Franken answer Carey’s questions? That was “right” before Carey refused to answer my questions! Then, this week, Carey refuses to answer the Star Tribune’s questions!
As I said, last week: “You have to admire a guy that rips people for doing the exact thing he does. It takes mucho grande cajones to stand at a microphone and demand someone answer questions, and just a couple of minutes later refuse to answer questions yourself.”
But, that was just me, some li’l ol’ “left-leaning blogger”! To stand in front of the media, demand Franken answer questions, and then less than a week later refuse to answer the media’s questions, clearly demonstrates hypocrisy in action!
That’s a tangent from today’s topic, which is financial mismanagement under the thoroughly discredited Ron Carey’s stewardship.
Here’s what the Star Tribune found:
Since then, the FEC has repeatedly demanded that the party reconcile conflicting financial reports.”
WOW!!! 52 amended reports??!? Hold on; as they say on TV infomercials “But, wait! That’s not all!!!”
• The GOP responded: It said it was involved in a “thorough review” of its finances and expected to file corrections. It also said it corrected the loan problem.”
Holy Smokescreen, Norm!!! Thats 1.4 MILLION smackers, we're talkin' 'bout!!! But, did the MN GOP “correct(ed) the loan problem”?!?? Did Ron Carey’s MN GOP file the corrected report?
Stay tuned; we’ll find out!
In the meantime, remember that under republiCon Ron’s stewardship, “consistent inconsistency” and “do as we demand, not as we do” clearly is the record.
And don't ever forget that this hypocritical attack on Franken by republiCon Ron is just a sleazy way for the ol' Smokescreen, Norm Coleman R=Lapdog, to Swiftboat the Franken Campaign, and still maintain plausible deniability.

Yeah, "right".
The first step...
...is admitting the problem.
Step two is trying to be intellectually honest about the problem.
I have a cure for your hypocrisy... two heaping servings of intellectual honesty followed by one serving of crow. ;-)
Outstanding!
First class, two putt. You make the blogoshpere proud!
Actually
I have been deleting and taking out the trash.
TwoPuttTommy's opponents silent
I saw the StarTribune article last night about midnight; it is now about noon and no headlines in uppercase letters, in red, on Minnesota Democrats Exposed (MDE) about this for about the last 12 hours.
[Usually the TwoPuttTommy MDE Fan Club consisting of the likes of: Swiftee, Big Kahuna, Chestnut, and others, would be swarming with at least some comments but, not during these last 12 hours.]

Ron Carey: The Hypocrite Edition
(Blue man in a Red district)
Ron Carey, Chair of the Minnesota Republican Party, has called on Al Franken to "lift the gag order on his CPA".
Today's Startribune featured a story on the financial miscues of the Minnesota Republican Party, under the leadership of Ron Carey.
- A left-leaning blogger tried to ask Carey about the party’s FEC reports at a news conference the GOP called last week to highlight Franken’s problems. Carey dismissed him, saying the press briefing “is something for our credentialed media here."
Carey did not respond this week to Star Tribune requests for an interview about the FEC filings.
When will the Ron Carey "gag order" be lifted?
This seems to be the status quo for the Minnesota GOP right now. Bachmann refused to comment post CD 6 endorsement. Kline refused comment after CD 2.
For the sake of fairness, we call on the Minnesota Republican Party to lift the "gag order" on Ron Carey.

Poor ron - as if he does not have enough to make him blue already. Then you heap it on and MSM picks on him next. When will it stop?
"...conflicting late-night signals..." could use a TOP TEN
"Wednesday's ...clashed over what Murphy said were conflicting late-night signals by the governor's office over what Pawlenty wanted."

Some [TOP TEN] REASONS to be a graduate of PAW CLAWS Signal School:
#10. Learn to keep yourself from being picked-up by the airport police when passing through Twin Cities International Airport.
#9. Learn to send statements to KARE 11 TV and other media outlets stating that Senator Murphy wasn't on the level.
#8. Learn to write to the media that "Sen. Murphy's comments are untrue." and "This is just the latest example of erratic behavior by Sen. Murphy."
#7. Learn to be appear to be Governor Good, after Malicious McClung has done his softening up job, and learn to make statements such as: "We are disappointed" and "we seek to enact bipartisan legislation."
#6. Learn to "stretch" transportation issues in the same manner as President Jefferson admitted stretching the Constitution under his treaty-making powers to make the Louisiana Purchase.
[Generally, land on the west side of the Mississippi River is part of the Lousiana Purchase.]
I think that it would be better if McClung/Pawlenty exercised better judgment if he/they has a concern with Murphy. Actions such as going to the media, and using the media as a club, to pound on Murphy, can backfire.
I think that in the longer run, being civil is a much better way to be.

Isn't mixing federal and
Isn't mixing federal and state funds the problem that got Delay in so much trouble.
I don't want to pick on Ron to much as he is the best thing going for the Democrats and I hope he stays chair of the GOP for years to come.
