Laurie Coleman edited into her husband's ad?
[Updated: see below]
Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) released a campaign video without a press conference or press release. Just an email to his supporters. The really bizarre part of this is that his wife, Laurie, looks like she was filmed in California then edited into the ad. What does this say about their marriage? Will Norm answer questions about the state of his marriage when it appears that Laurie won't come to MN to film an ad? Check this out:
Check out the screen captures from the ad, the lighting is completely wrong. It sure looks like she wasn't even in the room!

Check out these these pix. She was actually in St. Paul for the shoot.

sham marriage
Eric, SOMEBODY has got to investigate this. It's so fakey. It makes my blood boil. I wonder how much he paid her?

The real story

OMG, What a Joke!
That was so done using a green screen it's not even funny. The perspective with that kitchen island gives it away.
Chickadee is right. This does need to be investigated.
Take out the trash?
So my question is this? Does she ask him to take out the trash weekly? And if so does he fly into California to do it?
Two separate films together
The lighting is different between Laurie and the rest of the picture. The perspective is strange, Laurie is not the right size to be in the picture. The table seems 20 feet long. There is no eye contact between them. There is no shadow of Laurie on the very shiny table even though there clearly is a light directly on her and Norm's reflection/shadow is there.
Do Norm and Laurie always talk with a very long table between them?
Is Laurie actually ever at the Minnesota house? Do they physically live together? The film really begs the question.
Wedding Ring shot
What about the shot of the wedding ring 10 secs in?
Response film
"Norm, take out the trash". Norm gets on a airplane to LA, dozes on the airplane. Norm takes a taxi to Lauries house. Norm fumbles with keys. Norm takes out the trash. Norm flags down a taxi. Norms gets on a airplane. Norm asleep on the airplane. Ring, ring. "Norm you forgot to take out the other bag of trash."

Basically, I magnified the shot, displaying the two silhouettes side by side. What do you think?
And this shows/proves what?

Question
Can you tell me what it looks to be "filmed in California"? Are there palm trees and movie stars in the background? Is there different lighting when you are "filmed in California"? Please explain.
I asked you a question first, Michael.
And that question is:

Michael, it’s obvious that Mrs. Coleman was in the ad; the questions others are asking is: was Mrs. Coleman in the kitchen?
And Eva is correct; a statement by itself is not proof.
Team Coleman claims Mrs. Coleman was in the kitchen at the same time Norm was when the video was shot. They need prove this to end this story. Surely you recognize this; if they prove it, it’s story over. If they don’t, it’s fodder all campaign season long.
Personally, I don’t know if she’s there or if she isn’t; the comment I made is that this ad is eerily reminiscent of “Little Markie On A Park Bench”. And when that “Little Markie At A Bus Stop” ad ran, I knew Little Markie was toast.
I saw this ad, and I’m calling this campaign over. It’s a pathetic ad, and ol’ Smokescreen is toast.
By the way, did you ever find out why Laurie Coleman scrubbed her website of the shameless shilling of her senatorial hubby? (M.D.E.)
So, I'll tell ya what, Michael - you go and see if you can get an answer for my question, and when you do get an answer, I'll go and and get an answer to your question.
How tall is she?
Note that the table comes close to Norm's waist, but his wife's waist is well above the table. Hmmm. She must be pushing 7 feet!
Did anyone ask how Hillary's marriage was going?
And what we really want to know, how often does the junior senator from New York get it from the former President of the United States?
Sunday Beach Movies
It's a very obvious and amateur photo editing device. What do you do if you want to plug someone into a picture? You place them where they won't interfere with the furniture, either behind a table or in a lower corner. I do that every time I plop me into pictures of celebrities, and I also have trouble with color matching, as they do here.
It reminds me of beach movies in the fifties. Here are Anette and Frankie pretending to surf in the foreground while film clips of the wild surf go on the screen behind. Only they don't try and sell those as real.
